Sermons

(Note : To save any frustration on your part and on the part of the webservant, please read the directions at the bottom of the page to understand how to play back the sermons. Thanks!)

First, download and install any MP3 audio player, if necessary.  Your computer may or may not already have an MP3 player installed. If not, some of the more common players are (the webmaster recommends Media Player) :

• Microsoft Windows Media Player - Microsoft's free player; plays MP3 and much more
• Real Audio Player - a common, free player that supports multiple formats.
• Sonique - advanced, well developed player; allows you to save file while listening to streaming audio
• Audioactive 1.93b - Best Sound.  Version 1.3 lets you save and play simultaneously
• Net Player or here - simplest to use; spartan interface; features Drag-N-Drop loading.  Use WinZIP to "unZIP" and install.

(Note : If you do install an MP3 player you may want to perform a "Custom" install if given the choice (as opposed to a "Typical" or "Express" install). Most player installation programs will automatically make themselves the default player for all audio types, including CDs, WAV files, etc. You may or may not want to do that. Performing a "Custom" installation should give you the choice of selecting which audio type(s) you want the player to be used for. You need to at least select the MP3 audio type)

Listen Now: After installing an MP3 player, simply click on the "Listen Now" link adjacent to the sermon to which you want to listen.  The installed player will automatically begin playing the sermon without you having to wait on it to completely download (you may have to click the "Play" button on your player to start the sermon). If the proper settings are made in the Sonique player, you can also save the file while using this method to listen.

Save Now and Listen Later:  Click on the "Download" link next to the desired sermon (you may have to hold down the SHIFT key as you click (Netscape), or possibly right-click on the link (Internet Explorer - choose "Save target as...").  This will download and save the sermon to your computer (Be patient! It may take 20-30 minutes to download the sermon. While you're waiting, read Psalm 27:14 and Psalm 130:5 and Psalm 119:81).  Important : Remember the folder to which you downloaded the sermon so that you can find it later! Once the sermon has completed downloading, you can double-click on the file's icon, which will cause it to automatically start playing.  Please note that your computer must already have an MP3 player installed in order to be able to listen to the sermon (see above). If your computer prompts you to "Choose the program you want to use" (or something to that effect), scroll through the choices until you find your MP3 player; also make sure the "Always use this program to open this file" box at the bottom of that window is checked to ensure that you don't have to perform this step in the future.
